In the current design, Container native LB does not respect initialDelaySeconds on pod spec. The endpoint will be programmed and LB health check will start sending health check requests to the pod.

It would be nice to be able to respect the initialDelaySeconds readiness probe using NEGs in order to be able to configure some kind of deployments with NEGs that require it.

Indeed, this would be quite useful - especially when we need to export the certificates to external systems like an NGINX box.
