Same situation for me. It was the issue made me come back to stable version. Now I'm back on beta 1.5, but I still hope will be fixed sooner than later.

I see the issue as well. Pixel 4xl, build RPB1.200504.020

Same here, pixel 2 XL. Now on beta 2, same issue. Sometimes it stops because of "another app is using the microphone" and sometimes it just says the video couldn't be captured fully. Rewatching the video in that case gives severely dropped frames. It seems to *only* happen in the stock camera app. Trying a third party video specific app have no warnings it errors and recording completes.
yu...@gmail.com <yu...@gmail.com> #10
same here, on beta 2 pixel 2xl, no issue on other camera apps
si...@gmail.com <si...@gmail.com> #11
Same issue on Pixel 3 even with all other apps closed.

This issue has been fixed and the fix would be available in a future release.

It doesn't seem to be fixed in BETA 2.5 release. Camera still crashes with same error message "Another app is using the mic" or " something went wrong"

Recording worked beautifully for two days after installing the newest beta but the mic interrupting recording has started again.
