Earlier*, I turned on the "Force 90 Hz refresh rate", but in this release there is no dang item; accordingly, it is impossible to test it off.

Exact same issue with my 4XL running 11b2. Affects brightness on multiple dark theme apps as well. Flickering brighter and dimmer with change in refresh rate.

Same deal here on my 4XL. Started after the update to 11b2. Sure miss the force 90hz developer option.

Same on my P4XL. The screen flickers in dark apps with every screen refresh.

Having the same issues on my P4XL. Doesn't matter if I turn smooth display on or off and bummer that the force option was removed from developer options.

+1 here. Doesn't matter if I turn off smooth display or not. The only thing that "fixes" it is turning the brightness up above 75%.

I found a workaround to force 60Hz until the next OTA in my Pixel 4. This workaround should help users that were forcing 60Hz before updating to Beta 2 and now can't disable the setting because it's gone.
This by doing the following two things:
1) Disable Smooth display ---> I think this sets the PEAK refresh rate from 90.0 to 60.0
2) Set the MIN refresh rate to 60.0 using ADB with "settings put system min_refresh_rate 60.0" ---> I think this is the same as having <Force 90Hz: disabled> .

Edit: in my previous comment I meant "help users that were forcing 90Hz before updating". Not 60Hz.

I have this same issue and also reported it.
