@3 @4 Bug report and screenshot that shows that it does show album art when I don't use face-unlock ?
OK attached.
Note that the original issue was that it isn't shown when face-unlock is enabled, and I was told it was completely removed on R:
"Album art - we no longer show album art on the lock screen in R."
If in some cases it became disabled, please let us choose to show it anyway, including amount of blur. Either for the player or on the settings of the OS (or provide an Intent for this for the players to invoke).
As opposed to notifications, it's considered less privacy-related, so it should have at least as much as control as notifications have.

We no longer show album art on the lock screen in R.
comment #1 : Has been fixed on our internal build (which is ahead of the public release) & will be available in future.

@6 Please explain further.
What do you mean by "We no longer show album art on the lock screen in R." ?
Why not?
What's wrong in having the album art on the lock screen?
It worked well for so many versions so far.
Why instead of empowering it, you remove it completely ?
What was fixed exactly? Did you bring it back, or you mean you really remove it for all cases?
Please write more information.
If indeed what you say is what I think you say, that there won't be any album art on lock screen, no matter which security method we use, I write this request, to let the user have the choice:

@9 Guys you are only making it more confusing and ambiguous .
What will be available after Android R ?
The way to set what to show on lock screen?
Or you mean that the removal of album art will be applied after Android R ?
And you didn't explain why you remove at all, instead of giving the user the choice.
In the past it was the real album art, then it became blurred, and now it becomes nothing at all...

i'm still not over this tbh
Description
I was told here that R doesn't support album art at all on lock screen, and that the notification of the app I used doesn't show it on itself because it doesn't support it:
But, both are wrong.
The app works fine. The notification is fine. The lock screen shows album art (blurred, but still).
Only when face unlock is enabled, those things don't work.
