When changing pages via a left or right swipe in a ViewPager with a TabLayout, the direction of swiping is still LTR i.e. to reach the second tab (from the right), you need to swipe in the opposite direction.

This exists on all Android versions. Tested on 4.2 and up to 11.

I remember this issue occurs on other similar cases, but I don't remember which exactly.
Also when it's enabled, many times the focus gets crazy, as I've written here:

It seems there a lag, auto-scroll doesn't work if we move cursor rapidly.

@4 Right, but note that it's not the same issue. Here it doesn't focus at all , and there it does too much (going to a lot of files).
It could all be related though. Here's another one that for some reason I decided to report on the youtrack website:
