Have the same exact issue on macOS 10.15.6 and now I can't revert back to canary 7 and have to use the stable version :D

Similar issue on Windows 10 on Studio Canary 10 build: Studio won't start when you launch it via executable (studio64.exe), but it starts when using studio.bat script and having JAVA_HOME set.

I am using Mac 13.1 Ventura & successfully used Android Studio for 2 days & sometimes I try launching the studio from the dock & it fails to even start!!!

Description
When I downloaded the latest build of Android Studio, it won't start after accepting security warning. Looks like it silently fails. Further investigation showed that there is no bundled JDK in the .app package.
Here is the output I get when trying to start Studio from command line:
Studio Build: 4.2 Canary 8 (android-studio-ide-202.6787931-mac) Version of Gradle Plugin: 4.2.0-alpha08 Version of Gradle: 6.6 Version of Java: openjdk version "1.8.0_265" OS: macOS 10.15.6
Steps to Reproduce:
