When using .kts Gradle forces Kotlin 1.3.72 std libs to be used. Current build setup compiles AGP against Kotlin 1.4 which may cause runtime issues e.g https://issuetracker.google.com/166468915.

This is fixed now, and AGP 4.2.0-alpha09 compiles with -apiVersion 1.3 option passed to kotlinc.

Any chance this could be cherry-picked back to 4.1? It's currently blocking our Kotlin 1.4 upgrade

This issue does not happen in AGP 4.1, as we started compiling against Kotlin 1.4 for AGP 4.2.
