Update: this issue is triggered regardless of how you are trying to access "App info". Whether you long press the app icon or you go to Settings -> Apps -> <any app>, App Info won't launch.
Users cannot manage their app settings at all with this crash.
This is happening on the latest beta SPB4.210715.011. Pixel 3.

On the first beta 4 release App info was working for me. I updated to 4.2 and now it does not work.

Pixel 3a XL owner here. I have what sounds like the same issue after the phone was updated to Android 12 over the weekend.
* I tried to download and reinstall the Settings apk and Google Play Services apk with no success.
* I tried accessing the App Info page in Safe Mode and it didn't work either.
* I tried apps like SD Maid and App Mgr III (both have ability to clear Cache) and they would just loop and freeze.
The only true fix was to factory reset the phone which I did last night.

@19 If you've updated from Android 11, I think you should have created a new report. This one is for the beta. Maybe you should still create a new one, but sadly you can't show it anymore, and can't take bug-report file...

@20 Exactly. This problem started with the first release of the 12 Beta and has persisted all the way through until now. I am not sure where to even report it at this point. It's a beta-based problem but it now exists in the regular release. I'm kind of stuck.

@21 The weird thing is that I had this issue too, but ever since beta 5 it never crashed for me anymore . I have other issues that existed on the beta for much longer (related to recent-tasks), but not about app-info.
Report it here:
If you indeed can reproduce this issue, take a bug report and a video of the issue and show them that it still occurs, and also put a link to here, saying that it wasn't fixed even though you are on latest, official version of Android

Thanks! I wasn't sure which template was right (this is my first bug outing). I took a video of it before and just used that for the new submission. It is now issue #204101559.

1. Long press any app. Select the App info button. Settings icon will flash but not open. Repeat a few times -- error notice will appear.
