There is a related git issue on the plugin page, with a (hacky) workaround:

But the plugin is not really responsible. With Android Studio moving on to use the 2021 version of IntelliJ IDEA as core, it should provide Lombok in the base installer.
Otherwise the recent Android Stuido will break a lot of projects which use Lombok annotations in their code.
