I don't understand why gradle would try to create a a wrapper file at
Could not create parent directory for lock file /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.8.0_291.jdk/wrapper/dists/gradle-5.4.1-all
did you point Gradle to a JDK directory ?
Description
I cannot run any of my Android Studio projects anymore. I get the following error:
Could not install Gradle distribution from '
It started when I deleted the content of my .gradle/wrapper/dist folder to get rid of other problems.
I know I can get the gradle distributions back by running
"gradlew tasks"
AND
"gradlew build"
That works and even the build finishes successfully. But still Android Studio will not allow me to run any App on my device.
Hence, this looks like an IDE bug to me.
Any help is highly appreciated since Android Studio is almost unusable for me right now. (the problem does not occur for newly created projects)
