If for some reason it doesn't work, possibly because of advertising, then we could also limit it to premium membership.

For my part, if it is only available for Youtube Music it would seem to me to be quite fairplay.

In terms of options, it would be really useful to be able to set the crossfade on a duration. For example from 2 to 10 seconds before the end of the music.

Not having this feature is one of the biggest reasons why people don't switch from Spotify. I know this because I am always pitching Youtube Music to my networks and this is the #1 pushback. I'd even pay more for this as an Add-On, (but not much more), but would be better if at least part of the normal paid YTMusic membership.

This doesn't even need to have auto beat matching, at least not at first.

why is the Priority on this feature request in your work item so low, many of my friends and others keep using other music apps including Crossfade, I'm sure they would switch to Youtube music if you have this feature as well, why would you want to lose money?

The only major music streaming service that doesn't have crossfade and its such a huge feature. I love youtube music and the algorithm and curation and integration with Youtube, but when I am working out or running, this is a major immersion breaking feature.

Same here, for such a platform it would be a must have. Simply because this im considering on using other platform.

the main problem of this is for people using youtube music app for offices, or salons, etc.

A playlist that stops for 10 seconds between every song is a nightmare!! think about that.

Pretty wild that this feature isn't standard on a streaming service trying to compete with all the other major players. Sometimes I get the sense that Google is indifferent to actually attracting users to its service.

Wake up you tube and add the cross fade function to premium membership. You are getting left behind while the competition runs circles around you.

I can't believe crossfading (and offline playback) is still not available even for Youtube Music Premium subscribers. Please please get this app up-to-par with other streaming offerings. It's a shame, and I don't want to go back to paying for Spotify instead. Thank you.

I'm on free trial, and won't be paying without crossfade

This request has been asked for since 2022. No movement. Been a premium member for years and I’m moving out. Only thing stopping me was recreating my playlists but seems like they don’t care to improve this app at all so what am I paying for. Peace out

Please, please, please add a cross-fade feature, at least for Premium subscribers. As others have said, other services have provided this for years. This is such an important feature for many scenarios when it comes to music playback.

Shocked to see Google call it infeasible above. Reconsider and add it, Google!
