I need to be able to get the photo location and other metadata from photos uploaded to Google Photos *with8ut* having to do a full dump/download of an entire batch of photos (or downloading photos one by one). I want to be able to synchronize photos locally using a 3rd-party application, but it appears Google's API formids anyone from implementing that.

This is especially critical since Google doesn't make a Linux sync utility of their own. but even the Google solution-of-the-week for Syncing Google data under MSWindows or MacOS will not retrieve photos, and likely would also forego retrieving metadata along with them.

This needs to be implemented/enabled so that other parties can add features/functionality that Google has claimed should already be there.

I tried this with same Compose version but new AS (2021.1.1 Beta 4), it does not recompose Child2

Still no update on this? This seems to be a major deficiency of a core concept to me. I ran into the same issue, although my list's state holder is a viewmodel.
