Same here, also doesn't work if you actually go to Google Finance and try to type in a REIT on the TSX... only shows the NYSE ticker, if it exists.

I am unable to add PLZ.UN to my Portfolio (even though it was there until last Sunday), at the same time my sheet stoped being able to pull this data also.

Same here, me too, don't help much. If you only need "end of day" price, do it manually. I have 3 stocks with .UN suffix and it's a temporary fix. Make sure you highlight the cells that are manual for correcting later, hopefully soon!

Using the Google Finance webpage you can find the NEW stock tickers when you type in the company name. For example "NorthWest Healthcare Properties REIT" shows up as OTCMKTS: NWHUF. HOWEVER, it is in USD not CAD so that it is not useful. Not sure why the exchange changed from TSE either!?! Hopefully they will consider this a bug and fix it. Either way it would be really good to know what Google is thinking so I can figure out what/when I can view my portfolio again!

BTW, there is an extension that is supposed to work for Canadian Trusts, Yahoo Finance (YHFIANCE). However it is $19/month and not even close to live. I would rather pay for a good working version if Google Finance, just saying.

TSX ( or TSE )  REITS  are still not being read on Google Sheets.
Is there an easy work-around to fix this ?

Adding to help from post # 15 got me a temporary work around. It's not 100% accurate but does a close job for my day end value with no N/A cells.My 3 .UN stocks are BIP.UN, HR.UN and PMZ.UN
Check your stocks on Google Finance using stock name not symbol for proper market.
Temp work around for Can$$:
BIP.UN -  =GoogleFinance ("NYSE:BIP","price")*GOOGLEFINANCE("CURRENCY:USDCAD")
HR.UN -  =GoogleFinance ("OTCMKTS:HRUFF","price")*GOOGLEFINANCE("CURRENCY:USDCAD")
PMZ.UN - =GoogleFinance ("OTCMKTS:PMREF","price")*GOOGLEFINANCE("CURRENCY:USDCAD")
Of course it never fails in doing up this post 75% of Google Sheets prices failed. lol.

Google Finance also is broken for things like mutual funds.
So =GOOGLEFINANCE("MUTF_CA:TDB908", "price") will generate a
"Error. When evaluating GOOGLEFINANCE, the query for the symbol: 'TDB900' returned no data."

Google has started temporarily restricting news results for approximately four percent of randomly selected Canadian users in tests that will last five weeks. The decision directly responds to an online news bill called C-18, currently under debate in the Canadian parliament.

Google please liaise with Morningstar or ICE and clear this up ASAP.  This has a major impact on Canadian market participants.  Also, no TSX listing for Brookfield Corporation, one of the largest Canadian companies.  It's reasonable to expect better.

Don't like the "me too" but, well, me too! The website won't return a bunch of .un (unit) stock, I think of any type!

i'm absolutely shocked at google's pure incompetence.. it has been broken for 2 months and they can't fix it.. just unbelievable.. whoever is in charge should be fired over this.

Remove the N
So for SGR.UN just use SGR.U
It doesn't work for CHE.UN and AD.UN and others....

Pretty sure no one at goggle is looking at this...

#292190882 seems to be an issue with the GoogleFinance() function.

This here is a problem with the REIT on the TSX: TSE:BEP.UN, TSE:AW.UN, TSE:AP.UN are now completely gone from Google Finance (https://www.google.com/finance/), not just inaccessible from the GOOGLEFINANCE() function, like in #292190882

How is this still an issue??????

For the love of all that's holy, how could a company the size of Google fail this hard on such an important function?  All of the xx-UN stocks are mad failures.

As someone suggested above, pulling from "OTC Markets", then converting to $CAD worked for me, example:

For other REITS, go to https://www.google.com/finance/quote/CDPYF:OTCMKTS?hl=en&window=5Y  and put in the name of the REIT. It will return a OTCMKTS:   result that works with Google Finance, but you have to remove the "space" character.  Problem more or less solved.

Gotta wonder if this is a sneaky way for Google to respond to the Canadian government's attempt to clamp down on tech giants' monopolistic powers and make them pay their fair share.  I can't believe Google "just forgot" to fix it.
I suspect Canadians ware being punished by this fat-cat corporation!

I've been using Google Finance for the past 5 years and I can't believe they still haven't fixed that issue. I'll comment as long as it's not fixed, can't believe it's been more than a year and a half.

I just moved from iPhone to Pixel and moving from IOS stocks to Google finance I ended up find this issue. Please fix Canadian REITS on Google Finance! Asap!!

I guess nobody cares - Google Finance is probably another project somebody did one day that Google has long since abandoned and moved on from - I will look for a non-google option for stock tracking now I guess
