IDE is suggesting to "upgrade" kotlin from release to RC
Please see attached picture
2. Attach log files from Android Studio

Upgrading from AS 2023.1.1.16 to AS 2023.1.1.17 gave me some unexpected errors, the same as this one:
Whats disturbing me (from the picture) is that IDE actually suggests to "upgrade" from a release (bundle) to a RC-release, that will fail with the error mentioned in the link above.
You should reopen that case, and give a detailed way to "uninstall" and not "deactivate" the kotlin plugin, if not, you may fall into this problem:
