Description
Often this means when you use an app, the whole display is not centered and is slightly shifted off-screen, so buttons and things get hidden slightly (or I'm sure completely for some app UIs it's just icon size preventing it from being hidden). If you flip the phone horizontally the other way, you can get the other side cut off in the app, so it's not centering correctly in addition to not utilizing the full screen.
The top of the display is edge-to-edge and functions normally when the phone is vertical.
