DESCRIBE THE ISSUE IN DETAIL:

New to Android Studio but, trying to create a Layout using the Design UI and when selecting predifined resources (e.g. @string/...) the field does not populate with the selection I've made on the first time. I must do it twice in order for the field to populate. This occurs every time I try to populate a field in this manner. A screen recording is attached.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Open a Layout file in the Design window.
2.Select an object on the Layout
3. Attempt to populate an attribute by beginning to type, and then selecting an appropriate suggestion from the autocomplete pop-up.
4. The selected option does not populate in the attribute field, and step 3 must be done again in order for the attribute field to populate with the chosen autocomplete suggestion.
