Request summary:
Please implement a callback parameter in the oEmbed endpoint so JSONP can be used:

Vimeo wraps JSON into a callback function when this parameter is set:

http://vimeo.com/api/oembed.json?url=http%3A//vimeo.com/7100569&callback=foobar

It would be extremely useful if Youtube did the same:

http://www.youtube.com/oembed?url=http%3A//www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DbDOYN-6gdRE&format=json&callback=foobar

I agree that this would be very useful, and it's something that we've previously spoken to the engineering team about. I can't commit to it being implemented in any specific timeframe, unfortunately.
