The route is displayed using poly line and traffic info is also enabled the traffic info overwrites the poly line. So if route and traffic info are on the same place the route information is eliminated. Need to be able to define that poly line should overwrite traffic info.

The title is wrong the requested feature is that poly line could overwrite the traffic info.

Its more than a year since filed.
While on iOS google maps SDK we can set poly lines on top of traffic info using zIndex in Android we cannot control this ;o(
