We are in the process of reviewing older reported issues, many of which may have been resolved with subsequent updates to the APIs and associated tools. This issue has been archived due to age.
If you are still having problems this issue, verify that you are using the most up-to-date APIs and tools. If the issue persists, please make a comment in this issue to let us know, and provide as much detail as you can. Hi,
I was able to reproduce this behavior using Events.Patch request and I've opened an internal case for this to be reviewed.

It's intended that one can do something in the web interface, but the same request via the API throws errors?
ra...@gmail.com <ra...@gmail.com> #5
That can't be intended... Please add this to the API. The user experience when using a 3rd party calendar app with a Google Account and proposing a new time is terrible due to the API not supporting this. Clients have to create email templates or ICS files and send it to the organizer that way. Please fix. Thanks!

This doesn't only lead to buttons on other programs that don't do what they are supposed to. This can also cause the website to act erratically when something like proposing a new time has been called from the API. I just had someone attempt to propose a new time on their iOS device from the built in Calendar app and the request stuck on her calendar. She could not correct or revert back to the original time on the website (it would move back to the proposed time from iOS continuously) until she removed and re-added her Google Calendar on her iOS device.

Someone marked this as "Status: Won't Fix (Intended Behavior)"??
This is not the intended behavior according to the api reference and docs Please re-open.
Why have a guestsCanModify flag if guest cant actually modify?

+1 this is very confusing behavior. Events modified this way get stuck in an erratic state, showing "There have been changes made to details of this event that are only reflected on this calendar - Restore original event" and the Restore button doesn't work.

I have raised a Feature request
for this, head over to
sh...@wbpro.com <sh...@wbpro.com> #10
We required this feature. Currently, there is no option to edit the event by a guest through API even if the guest got the change meeting permission via API.
Description
1.Create a event that has some guests and is set "guestsCanModify" to true.
2.Modify that event from the API as a guest.
3.That updated event is shown only to the user who modified it.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
All attendees can see that event. The API supprts this.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Please provide any additional information below.
