Does anyone know how to fix this error? Encountered this while downloading SDK

I downloaded and extracted the ide for linux.
Ran the following commands on the terminal
cd Downloads/android-studio/bin
sudo ./studio.sh
then followed the instructions and while downloading the SDK found this error.

Unpacking android-sdk_r22.6.2-linux.tgz tar xzvfC /tmp/AndroidStudio1FirstRun/android-sdk_r22.6.2-linux.tgz /tmp/AndroidStudio1FirstRun/android-sdk_r22.6.2-linux.tgz-unpacked Unable to run mksdcard SDK tool.

Please help
