This issue occurs every now and then on new Android Studio versions. Please add some testing before you release a new version of the IDE. It's very easy to reproduce...
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
The bug is that you can't. The options related to building the project became completely hidden. It even shows a weird structure in the "Android" view.
