- Could you explain the steps to reproduce this problem ? (are you typing, copy/pasting, ...) ?

When trying to change or translate text in translation editor, it becomes "slow" and when checking the texts in the translated xml, the text may be repeated several times.
This problem occures in the Norwegian translation, havent tried other languages yet.

See picture, this has happened before for some years ago, and was fixed then, now ot is back to old sins...
It seems that entries are created "twice", the first contains the text, and the next contains the first characted only.
It seems it creates the "single" character from the one before when you are beginning to fill in text on the next line.
2. Attach log files from Android Studio
2A. In the IDE, select the Help..Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data menu option.
2B. Create a diagnostic report and save it to your local computer.
2C. Attach the report to this bug using the Add attachments button.
3. If you know what they are, write the steps to reproduce:
