@katydek please let me know if you feel this is in our code base or theirs, thanks!

If S2S or ChromeOS is crashing, it's in our code. If Gallery is crashing, it's in Gallery's code. I can't tell from the screenshot.

Description
Google Chrome 131.0.6778.96 (Official Build) (64-bit) Firmware Version Google_Redrix.14505.778.0
Steps:
Download any PDF. I used several different ones during testing and they all showed the issue.
Ensure that the Select to Speak feature is turned on, you may need to enable it in settings.
Invoke the feature by holding down search and clicking anywhere in the PDF.
Expected: STS starts reading text
Actual: App crashes and the Chrome crash icon is displayed, attached
Note that this does not reproduce if I attempt to use STS on another file type such as jpeg. It also does not reproduce in the browser PDF viewer, so users are advised to use the workaround of opening a new tab in the browser, pressing search + o, selecting the PDF, and using STS there. I tested this and it worked as expected for me.
