Fixed.
Boot the device into repair mode, under pin if asked, disable and enable sim, let it connect and exit repair mode.

I tried restarting it multiple times, tried airplane mode, tried some way or another to delete the esim so that it can be reinstated.. Contacted Carrier, out of their depth.. nothing works. (No factory reset yet)
