* What is the desired behavior of the feature? (Be specific!)
For websites and apps that can be scrolled, allow to capture the entire scrollable content.
* If relevant, why are current approaches or workarounds insufficient?
Some apps offer this, but they don't work as well as a built in feature, like on some devices.
* If relevant, what new use cases will this feature will enable?
Be able to share people with the whole content of websites and apps, in case the content is too large to fit on the screen.

Once again, thank you for submitting the feature request. After following up with our product and engineering teams, the feature request will not be able to be considered at this time.

@7 Why not? Many like this feature on devices that offer it...
It's a very useful one.
Not always we have the entire content shown on the screen , that we want to take a screenshot of...

This shouldn't be hard to implement. Google please reconsider. This is a feature that people want for Android Q. I personally want this feature as well.
co...@gmail.com <co...@gmail.com> #10
I am surprised why this feature hasn't been added to AOSP yet. All third-party manufacturers have added this feature in their ROMs.
[Deleted User] <[Deleted User]> #11
If people want a feature, why not do what people want? Isn't that the purpose of the Android q feature request option? It seems that Everytime someone makes a good feature request that people want, you guys deny it. At least defer it to a future update or give us some information as to why this is not happening. Stop making stock Android inferior.

Infeasible? Working great on my S9 😉
jo...@googlemail.com <jo...@googlemail.com> #14
I just recently had to transfer from my OnePlus 3t to a smartphone running Android One. It feels like a huge step back to not be able to simply create scrollable screenshots. On my OnePlus it was implemented natively and I never had any issues so far with it. I personally think that this is a feature that every Android device should have from the get-go. I used this feature surprisingly often on my old phone.
ju...@gmail.com <ju...@gmail.com> #15
In fairness to the devs, one gets the impression that there are more pressing things on the plate at this point in time. For example, the plan to deliver OS updates via the Play Store. That said, it's still pretty disappointing. I'm glad my Note9 shipped with the feature.

Google please add scrolling screenshots please set it up in such a way that when you do a screenshot it will continue to scroll and capture the image until it has captured everything on the page going down or the user hits the stop button please make sure also it keeps the maximum resolution of the screen image this is something Samsung does poorly (as the more you add the lower the resolution of the image becomes & you have to got the scroll button to add more of the image!) Motorola has done this much better but they've got maximum screen length can you please add scrolling screenshot in such a way that keeps the maximum resolution of the image and continues to go down until has captured the full image if LG, Samsung, Motorola, OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, Huawei/Honour can have scrolling screenshots you can not only do it but do it right!

I agree aswel I've come from Samsung s9+ using a pixel 2 xl

Additionally a lot of ROMs such as MIUI or Oxygen OS are already equipped with this feature. It would be great if Google would reconsider this feature request.
ke...@gmail.com <ke...@gmail.com> #20
The VP of Android David Burke said it's a great idea. Then why are you saying it's infeasible????
lb...@gmail.com <lb...@gmail.com> #21
@20 Where did he say it?

Hello! Alow me to take scrolling screen shot
sz...@gmail.com <sz...@gmail.com> #40
I got the scrolling screenshot feature on Pixel 7 with Android 13 - but this option is available only for the hardware triggered screenshot (Vol- and power button), not from the multitasking menu.
Description
Sometimes the content of the current app is scrollable, so you can't take a screenshot of it all.
Please allow to take a screenshot that will try to scroll through the entire scrollable content.
