I was able to reproduce in ToT: This makes the editor go off the screen.
Perhaps the com.android.tools.idea.rendering.GutterIconRenderer should limit the size of the icon (or don't display large icons).

If you still have this issue, could you please check if you are using Distraction-free mode and if so check that exiting the mode (View->Appearance->Exist Distraction Free mode) fixes the issue for you. If that does not help could you check if changing the IDE theme affects the issue? Thanks!
Description
If the image size is large, the line numbers width as wide as the width is too wide, causing inconvenience.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. xml view create
