I remembered that the phone restarted in Fastboot mode the first time I restarted it. I tried going into the recovery as I was curious but either nothing happened or the phone restarted into Fastboot mode again, I don't remember. Then when I selected 'Start' (or something similar, I don't remember the exact names of the options) the first time it didn't react and only after the second time pressing the power button Android began booting. After that I restarted the phone two times with several hours in between and none of those times it restarted into Fastboot Mode - it was a normal restart both times.

What steps would let us observe this issue?
1. Restarted my phone for the first time after the (beta) update and it stopped letting me use the fingerprint sensor and skips directly to pin input
What did you expect to happen?
Expected the fingerprint sensor to work
