UPDATE:
After further troublshooting:
This only seems to happen when connected to Alpine Car Stereo. Not other wireless bluetooth devices.
Device: Nexus 7 16gb
System: 4.2.1
Device: Nexus 7 16GB
Bluetooth audio stutters when wifi is on and connected (transmitting data) making services such as Pandora, google Music, etc not usable over bluetooth audio while connected to wifi. Bluetooth audio stutter was not an issue in previous versions 4.1.2 Problem is only in version 4.2 and 4.2.1

@hbls 39633 was for 4.2, this issue is with 4.2.1
I am also having stutter issues when streaming music over wifi and connecting to my bluetooth stereo and headset. Seems Bluetooth fix of 4.2.1 may have fixed another BT issue, but there is still a huge issue with wifi+bluetooth at the same time. Please fix

I am experiencing the audio stutter problem as well since updating to 4.2, particularly when streaming music via wifi.

I receive the same issue when connecting the nexus 7 to a pair of Motorola s305 headphones. Android 4.2.1

I am having this problem on both the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (i9250) and the Nexus 7 both with 4.21. Never had this problem with 4.1x. Problem has been heard when connecting to multiple bluetooth devices. Problem occurs when on WiFi or receiving data over 3G. This makes any replay of music from the devices unlistenable.

Have the same issue with Android 4.2.1. Also one of my friends has it too. Please fix.

Using Jawbone ERA to stream music, studder like crazy when stream from the cloud (Google Music or Spotify) using WiFi.
If plays music stored locally, it is fine.
Same as playing Video from Youtube, the audio studder like crazy also.

16GB WiFi Only Nexus 7 running on 4.2.1

Nexus 7 Has the same issue with continuous stuttering to a Jawbone Jambox and a Creative labs Zii Sound.
It happens when I use Spotify and Pandora.
I use the same speakers with an iPhone 4, iPhone 5, Dell desktop, and portable laptop at the same distance, none of them have issues streaming music.
The issue seems to be tied into other apps downloading or updating when the WiFi is on. If an email comes in, the music stutters. If I am reading NYT and I open an article the music starts to stutter but never stops. None of the other devices have this issue.

Same issue on Nexus 7 32gb running 4.2.1 with iKross bluetooth headset. Works perfectly with Samsung Nexus running 4.1x

My Nexus 7 is also experiencing this issue with Motorola S305 headphones. The problem started with Nexus 4.2 and continues in 4.2.1.
The problem only occurs when WiFi is on. If I'm watching a locally-stored video and WiFi is off, the sound is fine.
Rebooting the Nexus did not resolve the issue. The Motorola S305 headphones work fine with my iPhone 4S
Android support was oblivious to the problem when I called.

One more with problems connecting Motorola S305 headphones to 32GB Nexus 7 on 4.2.1. Ditto no such problems with my Samsung Galaxy Nexus on 4.1.2.
sf...@gmail.com <sf...@gmail.com> #18
Just replaced my Nexus 7 (the original was purchased right when the 16GB became available in the US) with a new one - I have 4.2.1 and the issue still remains. When using Pandora or Spotify to stream music via bluetooth to my creative Zii sound or my Jawbone Jambox, it is plagued by constant stuttering. I've had this issue since I purchased the first Nexus 7 with 4.1 and every update since then, fwiw.
I have a feeling google didn't provide enough bandwidth to have data coming in and going out at the same time or they don't allow the applications to create a cache large enough to buffer properly... This is quite ridiculous.
My iPhone 4, iPhone 5, Macbook Air 2011, MBA 2012, Dell Desktop, all manage to do the same job without issues so I know it's not the speakers.

Experiencing the same issue with my Nexus 7. Why is the priority for this issue not high? This is clearly a severe defect in the device when running 4.2.1.
gi...@gmail.com <gi...@gmail.com> #20
I think that the priority depends of how many times the issue has been starred.
You will notice that others issues have much more "stars" that this one (unfortunately)
Only 30 stars, somme issues have more that 8000!

I'm wondering if its a tegra 3 issue with the low power CPU. It works perfectly fine on my nexus 4. Hopefully 2.2 addresses this issue!

Just got my new Google nexus 7, I chose it over the amazon kindle HD because of Bluetooth capabilities, mine is Android 4.2.1 and the Bluetooth stutters on this machine too. :-( Please offer an update to correct this problem.

We now have the answer as to when the WiFi and bluetooth problems with the Nexus 4 will be fixed, and we didn't get the information from Google. Thanks, Android Police! So, is it evil to sell a product for months, knowing that it is defective? http://things-linux.blogspot.com/2013/02/what-is-evil.html

Nexus 4 with 4.2.1 here. I confirm having the same issue. Using Jawbone ERA earpiece listening to Tune-in Radio over wifi just isn't doable. It's true, BT & WIFI just aren't doable.
Blackberry HS-300 earpiece was even worse on the Nexus 4. Both Jawbone ERA and HS-300 work great on my iPad 2.
This phone is absolute garbage. I keep finding blatently bad issues that make me want to whip this device out the window. Should have bought the iPhone. I'm all for innovation, but what's the point if it just doesn't work. Google must have offshored the QA on Nexus or just don't care. Nice looking phone with lots of potential.

I can verify that the Nexus 4's bluetooth and wifi are still broken after the 4.2.2 release. See http://things-linux.blogspot.com/2013/02/very-little-surprise-here.html for details.
